‘Tis the Prom Dress Season

Well folks Easter is officially over, and you know what that means … it’s officially Prom Season! I can’t believe it but my nephew is finally old enough to attend his first prom. My kids and I can’t wait to go see him all decked out in his formal wear, and we especially can’t wait to see his date’s prom dress! It seems pretty early to start thinking about Prom but for us it is only three weeks away, doesn’t that seem kind of early? I can’t say I’m sad, that means Summer is even closer.

I have been seeing many prom dress trends online that are full of asymmetrical hemlines, pastel colors and ombre affects. I can only imagine what hers will look like. When I went to prom, girls usually went with their group of girlfriends, but this year it seems like everyone is going with their boyfriend/girlfriend. It seems so serious, how was yours? My nephew is only 16 years old I hope that he isn’t too serious with this girl (he won’t even tell us if they are dating). Maybe we will find out at his grand march ;)

What are your plans for Easter

I went to the drive in yeterday to watch “The Host” and I will say that I have to read the book to understand some of it. I liked the movie, but I would be lying if I didn’t say that some parts confused the crap out of me. Sometimes it is better to read the book then watch the movie. I am probably going to start reading the book today. I bet some of my questions regarding the movie will be answered when I read the book.

I think I am going to plan a barbeque for next weekend since tomorrow is Easter and I have to go to my family’s house. I enjoy going to family get togethers on holidays because my family makes the best food. I wish I could cook as good as some of  my family members. I am in charge of bringing dessert and thats good because all I have to do is buy some good pies and I am good to go. I will also be helping my nieces and nephews find easter eggs so that should be fun. What will you be doing tomorrow and this following week?

Kameleon Jewelpops

I love getting jewelry for gifts, I totally love adding to my collection of Kameleon Jewelry with some Kameleon Jewelpops. I love the versatility of Kameleon Jewelry. I had received a necklace and a black onyx pendent, the pendent will hold any Kameleon Jewelpop. I love it because I can create any look I want, since all the jewelpops are interchangeable with the pendents. You can seriously create a ton of different looks with the pendents and kameleon jewelpops.

Black Onyx Pendent {does not include center Jewelpop}

If you are looking for a great gift idea for a girl, weather it is a teenager, tween, young adult or even grown adults, the jewelry form The Lamp Stand is totally the way to go. My daughter has a few of the interchangeable kameleon jewelpops and she is only nine years old. Each pendent comes with an 18 inch silk cord, that is easy on your skin.  With Mother’s Day around the corner these Kameleon Jewelpops would make a great gift.

I want to go to Disneyland

I have been wanting to  take a little trip with my girlfriends to Disneyland. I haven’t been there in a while and would love to go and be a kid. I dont know what it is about going to the amusement park but everytime I go I feel like a little kid . I think it is the rides or maybe the care free environment that makes me feel like a child. I am going to see if my girlfriends want to go with me.

I know the girls wanted to go to the beach for spring break, but I want to go to Disneyland at least once during spring break. I am not embarrased to admit that I love taking my nieces and nephews to chuck e cheese either. I guess that must mean that I am a kid at heart just playing an adult. Maybe in a few years I will be ready to grow up but I am not ready to right now.

I hope they can fix my laptop

My laptop broke and I am currently borrowing a laptop from one of my friends. It is a pain in the butt when you are so used to your own computer and then you switch to one that is not as fast or as good as the one you had. I really hope my laptop is fixable. I hate not being able to have all the cool features that I had on my computer. I cannot believe how attached I was to my laptop. I took it for granted but now that I dont have it I miss it dearly.

I have thought about going out and buying a new one but I am waiting to see if my is fixable first. My laptop wasn’t that old either. I had bought it three years ago and it was running like new. I am very good at taking care of my things. I wish I would have put it higher up from kids hands. Accidents happen but I must admit I was upset that it broke because I wasn’t careful and left it within reach of  little hands.
